Consumer Patient Advocacy Group Appoints National Spokesperson  

Spokesperson will spearhead patient group’s efforts to advocate against barriers to care 

WASHINGTON, DC – The recently launched patient advocacy organization Patients Come First (PCF) has appointed a national spokesperson to speak about the barriers to care patients across the nation may experience. Working together with the California, Missouri, and New Jersey executive directors, Kasia Mulligan will help fight against policies that stifle innovation and create obstacles for patients to access cutting-edge medicines and treatments.  

As the national spokesperson, Mulligan will raise awareness about PCF’s policy focus areas, such as government price setting, the 340B program, and copay assistance. Additionally, she will address unconventional barriers to care that require attention.  

“Regrettably, bad actors and threats to care extend beyond our healthcare system, posing substantial risks to ongoing innovation,” said Mulligan. “Patients are ultimately the beneficiaries of our innovation ecosystem, and any factor that prevents R&D efforts does a disservice to those that need care to live a healthier life.” 

To support PCF’s mission to put patients back at the forefront of our healthcare system, Mulligan believes we must be diligent in finding and exposing health challenges that undermine patients’ best interests.
